Pristine is organizing an alleycat next saturday in Amsterdam with Mike from Mash. None other than Stefan Vis is setting the course. The start is at their shop (Kinkerstraat 14) around three ‘o clock. Come and race, there will be cool prizes from Cinelli and Mash.

MeBike & After Midnight

Mediamatic viert, op 13 en 14 augustus, de laatste week van Sur Place met een feestje. Er is een MeBike droomfiets wedstrijd, mode performances van Milena Heussler uit Wenen en Girls on Bikes, de Subbacultcha! After Midnight party en boeklancering. Gratis entree!

De tweede etappe van de Giro d”Italia start zondag 9 mei in Amsterdam en finisht in Utrecht. Wie rijdt deze etappe mee? Snijden we wel een stukje van de route af om op tijd terug te zijn in Utrecht voor de finish.

• 11:00 Verzamelen voor Station Amsterdam Amstel (trein 10:40 van Utrecht CS)
• Mooie spot zoeken langs de route of bij de start
• Rond 13:00 retour richting Utrecht fietsen
• 15:30 terug in Utrecht

Wie de finish van de Giro niet live hoeft mee te maken is welkom om vanaf mijn dakterras aan de Biltstraat de renners aan te komen moedigen en op tv de finish te volgen.

Hey everyone! Next weekend is going to be a busy one, the Giro D’Italia will be in town, there will be the Polomania  polo tournament at the Olympic stadium on Saturday as well as the Bicycle Film Festival at the Tuschinski Theater and afterwards the opening party of the Sur Place  exhibition at the Mediamatic Bank (Vijzelstraat 68). There will be drinks, DJ’s, goldsprints, bikes and art to look at. So come out, you don’t want to miss this!

To top it all off, we’re holding the screening of Death Pedal 2 on Sunday afternoon at 5pm at our shop (Kinkerstraat 14). We’re showing the movie on a big screen, plus we’re opening Saskia Haex’ art exhibition at our shop. She makes rad paintings and screenprints, so come check them out! We’re also finally opening the cafe part of our shop upstairs, so there will be drinks and cupcakes… what more do you want?!

Actief herdenken kan op dinsdag 4 mei in Amsterdam. Om 19.00 uur start op het Koeriersterplein de 12^e Annick van Hardeveld Memorial Alleycat. De winnaar van vorig jaar, Siep Miedema,  heeft dit jaar de eer om het te mogen organiseren.

A Fixed Gear Adventure Through the Hell of the North

From April 9th untill April 16th a group of “young” fixed gear riders will ride their bikes from Amsterdam to Paris and make a stop at the finish of the famous Paris – Roubaix race. During this 7 day trip, they will session street spots along the way, play some polo, cheer for the finishing racers in Roubaix, torture their bikes on the coblestones, taste the local culture (beer or wine) and try to have as much fun as possible!
