Flying dutchman Teun Mulder picked up the gold medal for the netherlands in the mens 1000m t.t. 1:00.341 min. was more than 0.5 seconds faster than silver medal winner Mickael Dalmeida from France. More metal for France as Francois Pervis rode in third best time with 1:01.024 min.

“I never expected to ride this fast, but I had a great feeling all the way to the finish. This is a great thing for dutch track cyling, getting a gold medal one year before the 2011 track world championships in Apeldoorn Holland”, Mulder explained after the race.
